Again, another great magazine to get inspiration, ideas and understanding of interiors is the magazine Livingetc. Very much London based and high end influenced, this very contemporary and modern magazine takes it’s inspiration from properties all over the world. Typically featuring homes from the US, Australia and New Zealand as well as London, it gives great ideas and articles for key looks as well as current and future trends in interior design and architecture. It also has some great regular features such as industry expert short get to know profiles and short contemporary articles on design classics.
This is again one of my personal favourites and one of the best ones on the market, I subscribe monthly. As you would expect it is available in many on line mediums to suit you as an individual and you can sign up for a email newsletter. It is currently priced at £4.20 per issue.

If you haven't got into podcasts yet your are definitely missing out on some great broadcasting. A podcast can be as short as 2 minutes, more commonly they are 15 minutes or 25 minute chats. They are a great way to catch some interesting expert opinions on a wide variety of subjects from home to garden to health and wellbeing. They are also free. Check out the wide range from the BBC I player website. Another good site is Womens Health Magazine. See links below: www.bbc.co.uk/podcasts/radio www.womenshealthmag.co.uk/.../the-8-best-podcasts-to-keep-you-happy-and-healthy.. ELLE Decoration describe themselves as featuring laid-back homes to inspire you, the people living their dreams.
It is great magazine for aspirational interior design ideas. I am a regular subscriber particularly loving the beautiful imaginary, insightful articles and clear layout. Aiming at the high end interiors market this magazine carries a cool and contemporary image. By featuring trend based articles on homeware from both high end stores and affordable ranges including French Connection Home and H&M Home it is a great source of inspiration. It also really champions British Design and designers which is great to see. Articles are both interesting and informative. These include interviews with famous designers, both current and iconic and their design thinking. All this whilst giving the reader the lowdown on current styles, trends and influences. Many of the real life homes featured span the continents giving ideas and insights into homes from fabulous locations such as South Africa, New Zealand, the United States and Europe. It’s current price is £4.40 for a paper magazine and can also be purchased for a tablet, mobile or online. The magazine are also subscribers to twitter: @ELLEDecoUK, Instagram: @elledecorationuk and facebook: ELLE Decoration |
My aim here is to capture moments or thoughts around design. I am constantly inspired by the London design exhibitions, photography and design publications. In fact I get my inspiration from so many places.. By sharing these experiences and thoughts with you I hope to both educate and inform. Archives
